NOVA Behavioral Solutions is a locally operated practice in the community we served. Owner Carolyn Sendi who a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and a Licensed Behavior Analyst in both Virginia and Maryland, bringing nearly two decades of diverse experience across education, behavioral health, and leadership. With formal training that includes a Master’s in Special Education, a post-graduate certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis, and a background in music education, Carolyn brings a uniquely well-rounded perspective to her work.

Her clinical foundation began in special education, where she taught ABA-based autism classrooms within Fairfax County Public Schools and provided home-based instruction for students with complex learning needs.

Over the years, Carolyn has served in roles ranging from behavioral therapist to clinical director, shaping her strong skills in assessment, treatment planning, and family-centered intervention. Her work includes directing clinical teams for both private and corporate providers, managing center-based and in-home ABA programs, and supporting cases with intensive behavioral challenges.

Carolyn’s expertise spans functional behavior assessments, individualized behavior plans, staff training, and the implementation of evidence-based teaching methods across settings. She is known for her steady, supportive leadership style and her ability to build strong, collaborative relationships with families, educators, and treatment teams.
